The Great White Plague Center is built up around a tuberculosis (TB) sanatorium from 1927 located in the beautiful village
of Kristnes (10 km south of Akureyri). A touching exhibition about the history of tuberculosis in Iceland and a visual journey through sickness and loss, but also hope. Sit down to homemade pastries and coffee at their cozy café afterwards.
