National Gallery of Iceland

The building with its unique architecture was built in 1916 to store ice from the lake outside. Today, despite its moderate size, you can get a good insight into Icelandic culture through several different exhibition rooms. Appreciate the principal collection of Icelandic visual art, from the 19th and 20th centuries and don’t miss the small museum shop.
