Sturlureykir Horse Farm

This family-owned farm has been in the same hands since 1886 and is one of the oldest horse-breeding farms in the world. Meet horses raised and trained on-site, some with bloodlines tracing back to 1930. After a stable visit or a ride through the tranquil countryside, enjoy rúgbrauð baked in a bubbling hot spring—Europe’s first natural hot water heating system, still in use today.
