The Heritage Museum at Garðskagi
Located near the picturesque Garðskagaviti Lighthouse, you’ll find stunning views, bird-watching, whale-spotting, and a hiking paradise. Inside the museum there’s a 1921-themed shop, a kids’ play area, exhibitions galore and information center. Check out the 43-ton wooden motorboat Hólmsteinn standing next to the museum or marvel at the Clinker boat, built in 1887 and now UNESCO-listed. It’s a quirky slice of Icelandic history and nature paradise worth stopping by before or after your flight from Keflavík.
